About the practice

Sarthi Legal Advisors is a Thane-based corporate and commercial law practice, serving clients across India. The name comes from the Sanskrit for "guide" or "charioteer" - the counsel who reads the terrain, holds the reins steady, and gets the business to where it means to go.

The practice works closely with founders, operators, and investors who need legal work that is exact where it needs to be exact, and fast where speed decides outcomes — closing rounds, signing vendors, or setting up a company's first real governance structure.

Rooted in Thane and working with clients nationwide, the firm keeps its client list deliberately close, so every matter gets direct, senior attention rather than being routed through layers.

Stage 02 — Capital & Contracts

Where we practice

01

Contract Drafting

Agreements built to hold up under pressure, not just at signing — vendor and service contracts, NDAs, licensing, employment and consultancy terms, and commercial arrangements drafted in plain, enforceable language.

02

Investment Transactions

End-to-end support on funding rounds — term sheets, shareholders' agreements, share subscription documents, due diligence, and closing mechanics — representing founders and investors through the full deal cycle.

03

Startup Advisory

The legal groundwork founders need early and often — incorporation and structuring, founders' agreements, ESOP design, cap table hygiene, and ongoing compliance so the business doesn't outgrow its own paperwork.

Stage 03 — The Approach

How Sarthi works

A good sarthi doesn't take the reins from you — they make sure you never lose sight of the road.

Plain language, first

Every clause is written to be read and understood by the people who have to live with it, not just by other lawyers.

Commercial, not just correct

Advice is weighed against what the deal or the business actually needs — legally sound and practically usable.

Present through the close

From first draft to final signature, the same counsel stays on the matter — no unexplained hand-offs mid-deal.

Stage 04 — Get in touch

Bring the matter to the table.

Whether it's a contract that needs redrafting, a round that needs closing, or a company that needs its first proper structure — write in and we'll take it from there.
